About the race
On November 4th, 2023, we will be hosting the first ever dog race at Town Square Dubai! At this event, the obstacle race (agility) for dogs will be held. All participating dogs will compete in three categories based on size (small, medium, large). In every category, there will be three winners who will receive prizes from our partners.
Additionally, all participants will receive a special Run for Dogs goody bag!

5.00 - 5.30 PM — First group of participants
5.30 - 6.00 PM — Second group of participants
6.00 - 6.30 PM — Third group of participants
6.30 - 7.00 PM — Fourth group of participants
7.00 - 7.30 PM — Fifth group of participants
7.30 - 8.00 PM — The Awarding Ceremony
Please note, you can choose your group of participants with specific timing upon registration.
Registration
1. How to register
Online registration for the Run for Dogs x Town Square the Dog Park opening event closes on the 3th of November at 23:59 and may be closed earlier if the entry limit is reached. To register for the event, you must complete the online application form and pay the registration fee [70AED] on the Run for Dogs website. After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email.

Race Day
1. Getting there

Parking slots are available for 2h FOC at Safi/Zahra Apartments, and the recreational park parking.
2. Bag storage*
There is no storage in the area. We recommend you keep your valuables, such as keys or mobile phones with you or with friends or family. The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
3. Toilets*
Toilets are located across the parking.
4. Starting time
The event starts at 5.00 PM, however, doors will be open from 4.00 PM.
Please mind your fellow participants and dogs when you compete. Please take care not to endanger others or yourself.
5. Finish
Please do not remain standing at the finish line, but continue to walk slowly to the end of the finish area. Once the obstacle race is completed, you and your dog will receive drinking water and refreshments and a finisher medal. If you are feeling unwell, please ask for medical aid straight away.
6. Results
Since each dog will race in a specific time slot, you are free to enjoy the event and our vendor zone after your dog finishes the agility course. We will announce and award the winners between 7.30 PM and 8.00 PM.
PLEASE NOTE
The number of dogs per participant is limited. If you want to participate with more than one dog, please register them separately.
Dogs must be leashed at all times during the race, and the leash must be no longer than six feet to prevent dogs from getting tangled or tripping other runners.
Dogs must be up-to-date on their vaccinations and must not be sick or contagious.
Participants must be responsible for their own dogs. Please, bring your dog only if you are confident in your dog’s behavior.
Dogs must be well-behaved and trained to walk on a leash. Aggressive or unruly dogs may be asked to leave the event.
Water stations for dogs will be provided at the event location.
Participants must clean up after their dogs, both before and after the race.
Participants must be aware of their dog's limitations and should consult with a veterinarian before entering their dog into a race.
